This was on the news this morning and I couldn't help but share! This is what happens when people are actually human and kind towards one another:
Airplane crash survivors get new home in Provo
December 22nd, 2008 @ 10:08pm
An Arizona mom and well-known blogger who survived a plane crash is getting an early Christmas present from her family in Provo: a house. There, she and her husband can spend time recovering from severe burns sustained in the crash.
A private plane Christian and Stephanie Nielson were in went down in Arizona this past August. It killed their friend and instructor.
Now, the Nielsons are recovering from their injuries: Christian was burned over 35 percent of his body; Stephanie, over 80 percent.
To help with recovery, the two decided to come back home to Provo to be near Stephanie's family. "Within a mile radius, you have a brother, two sisters and parents," Stephanie's brother-in-law Vance Checketts explained.
Vance and his wife, Page, who is Stephanie's sister, bought a home in Provo for the couple and their four children.
The home underwent several changes, which included major renovations. But that came with lots of help. "Lots of people who knew and loved Stephanie and Christian offered to help," Vance said.
Christian and Stephanie Nielson So did Provo businesses. From the walkway outside to the concrete countertops, all were donated.
Stephanie's family says this house is a symbol of hope. "Her desire to get better and stronger has really increased because she wants to get back here and see her home," Stephanie's brother Jesse Clark said.
Stephanie, who remains in the University Hospital burn unit, has already undergone at least a dozen surgeries and has many more to go. "She's going to need a lot of help and care both for herself and for her children for quite a while," Page said.
The house is meant to be the gift that will let Stephanie and her family heal. "Especially at this Christmas season when we talk of giving and of service and of love, we are just overwhelmingly grateful and thankful for all of those people who've put in their time and effort," Jessie said.
Stephanie's blog, the Nie Nie Dialouges, has attracted a lot of attention even before the accident. Through that blog and others, Stephanie's family and friends have raised more than $200,000 that will go toward the couple's mounting medical bills.

I thought I lived in SOUTHERN Utah
So here I am thnking that I moved somewhere warm, but instead it is SNOWING!!!! Booooo! I have had enough snow. On the other hand Ozzy loves it. He was trying to eat it. He even helped some neighborhood kids build their snowman. Seriously he did. He helped them roll up the giant snowball. It was too cute. So next time we move it could very well be to Hawaii, where it doesn't snow. Oh wait... I heard it's snowing there too today. Did I mention I hate living in the snow.

A day in Vegas
On Thursday I had to go to Vegas to get my car serviced. So the first stop was Findaly Vw:
Well one thing I learned by going ther is that they have horrible Customer Service and they are way overpriced! So next time I need a service I will drive to either Salt Lake or California. I will never go there again.
Anyways the next stop in my little adventure was to Flea Bag's Barkery and Bowtique.
I had so much fun looking at all the cool things and collars they have available!
I could resist buying at least one thing for my little guy!
It is so cute it whole body is crinkely and he has a squeaker in him. Ozzy adores it!
On to the next stop was the amazing Amanda LaVoys' Flower Boutique!
Amanda has worked so hard on getting everything up and running and it looks amazing! I suggest anytime you are in Vegas run out and take a look you won't regret it! Plus you may get a peek at her cutie pahtootie daughter!
Right across the way from Amanda Lavoy's is Wishbone Dog Boutique. Unfortunetly no picture but it is a cute little shop that I know Ozzy would have a ball in! Plus you can stop in a get free samples of dog food to try! Woohoo! You know I love samples!
All in all it was a fun day. But at the end of the day I was ready to get back to the tall kid and our wonderful little guy!

The Biggest Loser!
Okay you all know it is that time again! This time for me it is for real. Bright and early this morning and every morning from now on I will be getting up at 445am and getting my fat butt to the gym. This morning was tough but I know it will be good for me in the end, haha literally! Actally it wasn't too bad and if I wasn't chasing Ozzy around tonight I would have gone again. I guess I will just have to work a little harder tomorrow. My goal is to lose 90lbs by my next birthday. For those of you questioning when that is, it is September 14th, 2009. I say if the people on Biggest Loser can lose 100 or more lbs in 6 months I should be able to do it in a year. I will keep you updated and if its been awhile go ahead and ask, it keeps me motivated!

Update!
Well things are going pretty good around here. The Ozzman is getting bigger by the day and is adjusting well to being an inside dog. He can be a little grouchy when he is tired and hungry, but other than that he is a good boy. He has learned to sit and he will soon be learning to sit and walk on a leash. The tall kid and I are doing well. Unfortunetly he did not get a job that looked really promising, but life goes on. He will continue to study for law school and we will pursue that avenue. My job is going well, same old same old. You know the drill. Life overall is pretty good. We just had two neices born so we are pretty blessed. Life isn't all peaches and cream though. I don't want you to think that everything is just so wonderful and nothing is wrong. I ead a friends blog the other day and she said she hated it when people are nothing but cheery in their blogs, so here you go:o) Anyways for the most part life is good. Thanks for being there for me guys!

He's Here!!
Friday night we went up to the Coleman's so we could be there bright and early to pick up our little Ozzy. So at 9am off we went to Riverton to pick him up. When we arrived we went into the backyard and saw three little wiggle worms. He was he only little boy left. He was definetly the cutest little one there. We met Mom and Dad and saw that they were healthy and how big they were. Then we held him for a little bit, said goodbye to Mom and Dad and we were off. He is such a good little boy. When getting a new puppy you always expect to have whining, barking and crying, luckily we didn't have to endure any of this! He has slept all night every night since we have had him. He loves to play, sleep and most of all cuddle! Of course its not going to be so fun to cuddle when he is full grown. Nothing like 65lbs of solid dog laying on your lap. Oh well we are going to enjoy him small while we can. Anyone know a cure for doggy hiccups? Poor guy gets them about once an hour!

The Ozzman Cometh...
Well as most of you know, this weekend we are lucky enough to finally be able to pick up our little Ozzy! We are so excited to have him in our little family. He is going to be the most spoiled little bulldog in the world. Just ask anyone who has seen the preparations. He has his own little crate with a nice soft bed, his own little couch to cuddle on in the front room, and even a whole plastic tub full of cleaning supplies and first aid stuff. We are ready for this little guy. My only hope is that he will be happy in his new life and know that he is our world. I haven't even met him yet and I love the little guy so much! I cannot wait for Saturday!

Dreams
If you know me, you know I have kind of weird crazy dreams. Well the other night I had a really nice dream. I actually really didn't want to wake up because I loved it so much. What was it about you ask? Well, I was surrounded by people I loved just hanging out at my parents house. All family and close friends of course. The best part was even beloved pets were there. Yes Tyson was there. For those of you who knew Tyson know why this meant so much to me.
Although Tyson came to our family through my Sister the 1stdaughter, he was always mine. At least I felt that way. When he was a kitten I went to visit my sister, because she lived in a different state. We instantly bonded. His brother Angus was always the talkitive social one and Tyson was always a little more reserved. To become friends with Tyson you really had to be patient and let him come to you on his terms, but once he did he was loyal to you as any dog would be!
After the 1stdaughter left to live in Provo, he and I became fast friends. My all time favorite memory of his was every night when I came home he would be waiting for me. He would hear my car as I pulled around the corner and he would run to the driveway and sit where he would not be harmed until I parked in the driveway. As soon as I opened the door to my car he was right there waiting for me. Mind you this happened EVERY night, and my Dad will atest that it was not early either, hehe.
He was my best friend. I still think about him alot and miss him so much. I know he is watching over our family and is very proud of all of us. I know he is thankful for the time he was here with us and is thankful for what was done for him. I know those of us who were there that afternoon will never forget it, but we have to remember that he loves us very much and is grateful for the help he was given.
Tyson will always be close to my heart. I will think of him always. I miss you and love you my Ty Ty.

I'm sorry for doing this to everyone, but I just have to!
This weekend was so much fun! The party went well, Little Miss had a blast and I hope she felt important. We went to the lake, we played princess games and ate cake. The 1stdaughter and family stopped by, and cousins met for the first time. Our whole family was together for the first time in a long time and it was wonderful! It was a very special weekend. I don't have any kidlets of my own so I love to spoil the nieces and nephew.
My favorite part of the weekend though was when I was trying to decorate the cake. My Mom was in the living room talking with family. Adan was tending to the baby, Bri was watching Little Miss and I. My Dad was at the table on his computer. The only people missing were the 1st daughter and her family. Little Miss loves music and singing, so my Dad played one of her favorite songs, "Little Wonders" from Meet the Robinsons, and of course she stopped everything to sing along. He barely got 30 seconds in and had to stop it because he and I were about to start blubbering like a couple of idiots. I had to save the cake from teardrops.
From the moment I saw that movie it instantly became my favorite. It reminds us to remember who we are and what the important thing in life is. Family. Although My husband and I are having trouble having kids, I don't feel we are missing out on a family. We feel so blessed to have the family we do. I am so excited to welcome the new babies in our lives to this amazing family. They truly are the Little Wonders in our lives. Thank you to my family for being who you are, I am who I am because you are who you are. I love you. And remember "Keep Moving Forward"

So sorry, I am a little busy at the moment
Sorry if I haven't posted something of any real importance, I am a little busy at the moment. I only have about 100 pages left of the last Bella and Edward book. It has taken me so long because I am trying to savor every moment of it. I will be really sad when it ends, I know it is just a book and they aren't real people, but they got me through the last 6 months of Rexburg.
Another reason to be busy is the upcoming Princess Party for Little Miss. When I found out that my sister was pregnant and the new little bit would be born around Little Miss' Birhday, I knew we had to do something for her. She is way into princess things, so what better way to celebrate? We will be making crowns, searching for the King's treasure and pinning the crown on the Princess. Hopefully that will keep a 4 yr old occupied for a little bit.
Anyways, I probably won't be back until sometime next week. So have a good week!

Money Crunch
So what are you doing to save money now that gas is averaging over $4 a gallon? I have this new obsession, and really it is kind of nerdy. Samples!!! I am not talking about going to CostCo or Sam's on Saturday morning and getting lunch by samples. I am talking about searching out free samples on websites and sending away for the. Really it has almost become like a weird sick little game. Like tonight I found samples for a new Tide detergent, a new frizz ease repair serum, even pet supplies for the M-I-L's little dog. I know it's sick right? I just can't help it! It's Free!!! Whoopee!
What actually got me started was a news piece on the Today Show. It was all about free samples and what is out there that you can get for free. So I looked into it and have become addicted. I haven't told the Tall Kid yet, so when these packages start showing up I will half to fess up, hehe. But I am having fun while it lasts!!!

Happy Birthday to the King!
Well today my guy turns the old age of 26. And boy does he look it!!! Jk! I put a picture of Matthew McConaughey because in a former life with more hair and a pre-marriage body, people said he resembled my guy. Anyways, I think he is still hottie and I will love him forever. So here's to you Birthday Boy!

Just a Picture
I was looking at my blog and yes I changed the colors to look at little more summery, but I needed a picture. Since all of my pictures are hiding on a fried computer at the moment I thought I would find one on the net. Since we are going to Pismo soon I though I would give everyone a little taste of what we are lucky enough to go to this 4th of July. Yay! You can come too, but you have to find a place to stay, Sorry.

Crazy Busy!!!!
So let me tell you about my past month or so...
You all know that the tall kid and I moved to Southern Utah and found new jobs. It has been alot of fun! We have been on the Seadoo once already this summer and have planned to go many more times. I was able to go to Park City for a Vision Conference for work and had so much fun. I got to know the girls I work with on a more personal level and make some really good friends! My work is also taking all of us to the Tuacahn Theatre to see Les Miserables soon. We have been goofing off and overall just having alot of fun!
Next month we get to see the 1st daughter and family for the 4th of July at the beach. I am so excited! We have two nieces on the way soon! Our best friends are having a baby boy, so sort of like a nephew! So many babies in one summer its crazy and exciting all at the same time!
Besides all of the fun stuff we have been working hard and getting prepared to get in to Law School. I started my job about the middle of last month and have been working as an Optician and loving every minute of it. Well that was until our Biller went on Vacation last week and I filled in since I was the only one that knew how to do it. While filling in I found that the current biller had mad a slight oversight of the not keeping up on the aging report. To the tune of $186k. So needless to say she no longer works there and I am the new biller. Boo for her, YAY for me. It means a promotion in the Dr.'s eyes for me and a pay raise. Sweet! I also get to work better hours and no Saturdays!
Overall life is going pretty good and we are getting caught up on bills and getting settled in. Hope to hear from you all soon and I promise to write more now that life has slowed down a little bit for the being.

Last night the Tall Kid and I went to see a sneak peek of Iron Man. Let's just say it was definitely worth recording LOST to go see it. We had so much fun. If you are even slightly interested in going to see it, you should! But remember to stay to the end of the credits there is a little snippet of info to stay for. Enjoy! Sick Days
Can I just start out by saying I HATE being SICK!!! I have been sick for the past few days but today was by far the worst of it. I tried to go to work for a couple of hours and then had to wimp out because I couldn't focus on my work.
You know the worst part about being sick is telling your boss/manager that you have to go home and then getting the evil eye ad the unsympathetic "hope you feel better." Oh well, I know I was feeling like crap because generally when I am home sick I tend to think, wow I do feel bad for not being at work, today that didn't even cross my mind. I am only blogging tonight because I am heavily dosed up on my favorite... dayquil and excedrin! Yay for modern medicine!
Maybe tomorrow I will feel up to changing my layout from St. Patty's day. Hopefully I will feel up to goign to work as well. I guess I could always just dope up on dayquil and excedrin again. That should make the bosses happy! hehe jk!
Update: I owe Amanda BIG TIME, she worked all day because I was out sick yesterday!!! I am so Sorry Amanda I will make it up to you!

Love
I don't think I have ever really told you much about the tall kid. Well let me tell you that this is one amazing person that walked into my life. Let me share a little of our story...
We were both living in SoCal at the time making our way through the wonderful world of Community College. So romantic already, I know! Anyways, the first day of classes of a new semester I wanted to add another class, unfortunately when I got there, there weren't any seats. So I walked out and strolled by the local institute. If you have ever been to institue you know how it is, you walk in and everyone stops what they are doing to see who just came in, can we say AWKWARD! I continued furthur into the building and had a seat on one of the couches. I started chatting with a few people there and the Tall Kid was one of them. I know what youare thinking, ow cute love at first sight. Well, although we were both attracted to each other we didn't start dating then, actually we didn't start dating for about a year and a half. It wasn't until we were both dumped on the same day that we started to see each other.
Yep can we say REBOUND! It's okay, it came out later that we had both really liked each other all along, but never thought the other did. It's okay, I am glad I waited for him, because we all know I dated some real duds! Oh yuck don't remind me! It's okay because he dated some real bimbos too! Yuck don't remind either of us of them!
Anyways let me get to my point... I am glad that I waited for him. I know that he is the one for me. He is worth moving up to Rexburg for. The choices that we have made together have gotten us to where we are and where we are going. I haven't enjoyed being away from our families and in the cold, but we have made some awesome friends and now have amazing opportunities for our future. I know that he is the head of our two-person family, but he is understanding enough to listen to my advice when making decisions affecting our future. I know that going to Law School will be tough on both of us but I am grateful that he is willing to sacrifice time now to enrich our future family.
He is goofy, silly and likes to adlib stupid songs all the time, but he is mine. He tells stupid grandpa jokes that no one gets but him. He is very tall. He is kind, extremely caring, and puts up with me, even on my crazy days. He very smart and thinks everything through, sometimes a little too much. I will always suposrt him in his decisions for our family. I know he is trying his hardest just to make the right choices for us.
I love him dearly. I have been meaning to write this post for awhile now, but other things just kept coming up. Finally I couldn't keep it in any longer. I am so happy that he puts up with me and our trials. It is interesting the further we get into our trials, the closer we grow together and learn to rely on each other more and more. Again I am so grateful for him and his love for me.
Tall Kid, I love you very much. Thank you for who you are and who you are going to be! Love ya Kid!

A good replacment
So if you were reading last year you found out my new obsession for Cherry Minature Kit- Kats.
Well unfortunetly, they were no where to be found this Valentine's Day. It was a very sad V-day without them. Oh well, on to the next Candy filled holiday! Easter! Yay!
So while looking fo the Function: Light Weight, that chronicler raved about, at Target, I stumbled upon these little morsels of yumminess! Lemon Creme Kisses!
They are delicious! They actually tastes like lemon cake with lemon frosting. They are so good. So before Easter is over you should try to find them and delight in their goodness! Oh and if you happen to be in my neighborhood I know Target in Ammon still has alot of them.
Oh and by the way I know that it is pretty funny I was looking for a supplement water and I found candy, hehe!

Set up my Grandparents and my Parents up for life, so they can just relax and enjoy life, this includes inlaws. Share the wealth with my siblings, mine and his. Buy a really, really nice camera and take a Photo expedition. Oh I could go on and on!

Last but not least I am extremely shy, I really try to hide it, but I won't call someone I don't know, I make the tall kid do it and I even have a really hard time calling to chat with really good friends and extended family.
Well there you have it, random facts about me. I think I will tag both Amanda's this time around!

Alright I will do it already!
The Odd MeMe
What kind of soap do you have in your bathtub/shower right now?
Oh where to start! For me: Bath And Body Works Tranquil Mint, C.O. Bigelow's Peppermint Body exfoliant, Aveeno Skin Relief, Gylcerin soap. For the Big Guy: Dove Sensitive Skin Body Bar. HeeHee! He uses the excuse of working with cardboard, although he doesn't do that anymore:o)
What color or design is on your shower curtain?
White, boring I know but it kind of has a plaid stitch to it! It goes with my tropical beachy theme in there.
What would you change about your living room?
Not much, other than it being in Rexburg I really like it now! I just got a rug that ties everything together, so it's finally finished! Mind you we are moving in about a month.
How many plants are in your home?
I have a geranium, that my husband begs me to get rid of.
Are the dishes in the dishwasher clean or dirty?
Clean, waiting for one of us to unload them to put the dirty dishes in it.
Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home?
Sorry Smee, we are red plastic cup and paper plate people for the time being.
Do you have iced tea, made in a pitcher, right now?
Oh sick! Why not just drink dirty muddy water!
Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
Are you kidding! It is 20 degrees here! The last time I saw watermelon it was in the summer at our grocery store and it came from my home town, 1500 miles or more away.
So, what is in your fridge?
First and for most everyone who knows us knows we always have milk. The tall guy and I actually go through at least 4 gallons a week, just between the two of us:o) There is also cabbage, asparagus, carne asada, leftover chicken from dinner, the usual condiments, black cherry Fresca, Boston cream pie yougurt(yum). The freezer is a whole different story, lets just say its not ready for Cribs to come a peek at it.
What's on top of your refrigerator?
Literally about 8 boxes of cereal, we can never decide on just one between the both of us.
White or wheat bread?
Try as I might I cannot get the tall Kid to eat Wheat bread to save his life. He eats he majority of it anyways.
Comet or Soft Scrub?
It depends on what I am cleaning. I only use comet for the kitchen sink. I don't think I have ebr used Soft Scrub
Is your bed made now?
Hah! Thats a good one! It only gets made if our parents or family is coming to visit. Sorry Mom and Dad.
Is your closet organized?
Yes, I like to have a place for my shoes, if I ever decide to put tem there, they stay in the entry way due to snow melt.
Can you describe your flashlight?
We have two giant Maglites both black. They are the big ones, the four battery kind.
If you have a garage, is it cluttered?
No, but if I did, it would be organized. I like to clean my car...alot.
Well, there you have it. Stay tuned for the next Meme I have been tagged for. I will do it I promise!

What happens when I get bored...
So I really am not that obsessed with the Twilight book series. A couple of months ago my computer with all of my pictures was fried and I lost all of my digital pictures.
My friend Amanda has been really into digital scrabooking recently and I thought I would give it a try. Since I didn't have any pictures of my own I just thought I would find pictures of what I am interested in right now and see if I could mess with Photoshop enough to figure it out. This is the result. If it had been a year ago it may have been Harry Potter, hehe.
I think it turned out preety good for a first try. What do you think? Of course I had my Advertising major husband leaning over my shoulder the whole time. Sometimes it was a good thing other times I wanted to tell him to go fly a kite and let me figure it out! Just kidding, I am glad he was there to help me. Hopefully I will be able to get some new pictures and make some real pages of my family and friends.

Big Game Feast and Fun!!
This past weekend we had a few friends over for the SuperBowl, even though neither of us really are into football. Me coing from the family that I do had to put on a feast!
The night before the game I was dying to try a new recipe I found for a family classic. Good old Chicken and Dumplings. My family all know that this is by far my favorite meal on the planet. I was afraid that I may never get a good bowl of it ever again, until I came across a recipe for strip dumplings. I only used that portion of the recipe because how they made the stock was nothing like Grandma's at all and I had a good idea of she made it. So I started by making the chicken, once it was done and cooling I nervously started on the dumplings. I was so excited that as I plopped them into the stock they fluffed up and then dissolved a little to make the yummy thick gravy I know and loved from my childhood! It wasn't exactly like Grandma's but I know that with a few practice runs it will be close.
On to the Chicken wings. One could say they were "hooteriffic"! For Christmas I got three copies of the book Twilight so one of the books I exchanged for an amazing cookbook. It has quite a few recipes from top restaurants around the country. One was this famous wing recipe. I was surprised at how simple it was! The most difficult part was waiting for them to cool down a little to eat them. The leftovers were just as good the next day as well! Served up with a little Bleu Cheese dressing and it was the perfect SuperBowl treat.
Lastly, if you know me you know that I can't make a homemade choclate chip cookie to save my life. I have tried several different recipes ad nothing ever worked. More flour, less flour, blah blah blah, nothing! Until now! I finally made it work!! I was seriously so excited! However this could be a bad thing!!
If you want the recipes to any of these let me know! Sory the pictures may be a little blurry. My camera was dropped awhile back and it hasn't been the same since.

The Twilight Series!!!
Okay So I know that everyone on earth is talking about this series, but I just have to. I got all three books for Christmas and I read all of them in less than three weeks. They are so good!!! My family have always been fans of Vampire books, ie Anne Rice books. These are so much better in my opinion. A True love story! The fourth book is going to be released in the fall and I can't wait! The Movie is supposed to be released in December. It should be pretty good. Above is a picture of the actors playng Bella and Edward. Robert Pattinson played Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies, of which you all know I adore.
So anyways if you are into Vampire love stories, or even good clean love stories you should certainly read these books. 1st daughter this means you! Sorry for the random post after not posting for awhile.
